MECHSEM 2012 - PAPER PRESENTATION

THEMES:
1. Advanced Engine Technologies
2. Emerging Fuels & Fuel Cells
3. Energy Storage System & Infrastructure
4. Safety & Maintenance
5. Reduce, Reuse & Recycle
6. Mechatronics
7. Nano Technology
8. Product Development Tools & Technologies
9. Fluid Flow & Analysis
10. Thermal Energy Utilisation
11. Design & Design Analysis
12. Renewable Energy Sources
13. Off- Highway Engineering
14. Aero Structures & Technologies
15. Weapon Technologies

General Rules:
1. Two Authors per paper.
2. Format: Hard Copy: SAE format for 2nd year students
IEEE format for 3rd & Final Year Students
Soft Copy: Microsoft Power Point 2007 slides.
3. Interested students have to register through their batch literary secretaries or class representatives.
4. The papers must be directly or indirectly related to the themes mentioned.


Phase I: Abstract submission
1. Format: Font style- Times New Roman, font size: 14, not more than 10 lines, 1.5 lines spacing, printed in an A4 size paper.
2. Author(s)’ names with Enrolment numbers, year of study, Batch & class roll numbers are to be mentioned.
3. Last date & time of submission: 25/01/2012-  (Time:5:00:00 PM)
4. The abstract need to be submitted through the drop box placed in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
5. Selected papers result declaration: 31/01/2012

Phase II: Paper Presentation
1. Only selected papers will be allowed to be presented by the authors.
2. Hard Copies (2 numbers) must be presented at the time of presentation.
3. Presentation time: 7 minutes
4. Scoring (Judging Criteria):
a) Quality of Slides
b) Clarity of Presentation
c) Confidence in Answering Queries
d) Data Collection
4. Date & Time:
13/02/2012 (Monday), 4:30 PM- 2nd year students
14/02/2012 (Tuesday), 4:30 PM- 3rd year students
15/02/2012 (Wednesday), 4.30 PM- 4th year students
5. Venue: Will be notified

Important dates:
1. Notification: 09/01/2012
2. Last date of submission of abstract: 20/01/2012 (Time: 5:00:00 PM)
3. Declaration of selected papers: 25/01/2012
4. Paper presentation through slides:
13/02/2012 (Monday), 4:30 PM- 2nd year students
14/02/2012 (Tuesday), 4:30 PM- 3rd year students
15/02/2012 (Wednesday), 4.30 PM- 4th year students.
