CAD MANIA... Event added to MECHSEM 2012

CAD MANIA
A Computer Aided Designing Competition


 
Rules:
1. It’s an INDIVIDUAL event.
2. Participants can use any 3D CAD software of their choice (like: CATIA, PRO-E, UNIGARPHICS, SOLIDWORKS, ANSYS MODELLER etc)
3. Participants will have to bring their own personal computers or laptops with their power extension cables.
4. Participants will be given sketches of machines, cars, engines, structures etc (try to learn surface modelling).
5. Time for completing the design will be 6 hours (session 1= 9AM-12:30PM, session 2= 1:30PM to 4PM).
6. Dimensions may or may not be provided. Participants will have to scale their model by themselves.
7. Register yourselves through the drop box placed outside the Department of Mechanical Engineering
8. Last date for registering: 25/01/2012
9. Competition date: 03/02/2012
10. Venue: Will be informed later


 
Judging criteria:
1. Resemblance to the sketch provided
2. Clarity
3. Completion
4. Presentation
