The MEA Annual Report.

MEA REPORT

Respected Vice Chancellor, The Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Chairman MEA, Dr CG Saravanan Vice Chairman Sports council, Dr T Shanmugavadivel Vice Chairman Cultural council, Invited dignitaries off the dais and my dear student friends.. A very Good Morning to you.
I stand before you to deliver the report of the Mechanical Engineering Association activities for the academic year 2010 – 2011.
As the department has grown in size the need for change in the MEA was inevitable, hence for the academic year new ideas were experimented. One by increasing the number of office bearers of the association and two having four different councils to enhance the activities of the association – namely Literary, sports, cultural and the placement councils each council having 35 office bearers representing every batch of mechanical engineering students starting from the second year. All the councils met once in a week to plan the activities along with the staff in charges.  To have an efficient communication among the members of the association a web page was created for the association and all the circulars as well as the activities were displayed at http:// measau.blogspot.com.
The installation of these office bearers was on 23rd August 2010, wherein our revered Vice chancellor had installed the office bearers… Now to give a report of the activities of each council.
